I see a lot of people don't like Kaoru's character, about how his insecurities doesn't excuse his behaviour. I do understand many people wouldn't like to see such a MC, but I sympathize with him. I'm glad there's someone like Hara, proving his love to Kaoru over and over again and allowing Kaoru to slowly overcome his insecurities.
As someone who is really insecure, I can understand. It's not that he doesn't want to trust him, but that he just needs to be proven wrong. That's why, if you guys ever want an easier relationship, never get together with insecure people, because it's hell mode. You need tons of commitment and neverending love like Hara to survive such a relationship. I don't think there are such angelic people in real life tho. This is called fiction for a reason. However, such a manga did give me hope that maybe out there somewhere, someone will love the pathetic me, ╮(￣▽￣)╭
