Yeah I guess it was forced to end quickly by the author.. There would more into that.. I liked the story, but they didn't show how Edwin's father and the emperor were killed or just got into jail, aka their punishment nor the jewel. I wanted more Hector x Lai moments too. :(
originally i thought it would turn out that hector was the knight's child and not the emperor's (thus lester could use that to get him out of the line of succession) ...except his mother was the princess so he's of royal blood anyway, lmfao... but without that, whats the obsession and the urgency with finding the jewel...? i also thought it would turn out the twins were somehow the legitimate heirs somehow bc at one point lai went "it would be better for hector if i wasn't here"...which was also not explained :((
