Ik it sounds stupid, but I kinda love this 'naive' personality of the uke. As I believe it became one of his strongest point in his current depressing situation. His life already fck up bc of debt plus with that exhausting daily life, but bc of his naiveness he still being optimistic, cute and such a baby trying to survive.. And yeah, (idk if im gaslighting myself but) for me this ML despite being redflag, the fact that he do also kinda help him in those tough situation was surely helped him a lot, sure the romance-relationship will take time to build as the ML is not the typical softie green forest.. But I love this MC. He not those typical MC who have debts with depressing and so heavy for the heart to read we usually got. I love it. We must protect♡3♡

The Seme seems very... idk how to put it? really robotic? like I don't find him attractive at all, maybe also bc the art/drawing which seems his expression is kinda weird, he only give a always SMILING FACE and also a shock expression.. Like his characterization is not very balanced with the MC(?) so, we as readers feel like there is no such thing like "emotional closeness" to him, even though he is the main character...
Like I've read many stories before and he's just like a character that I don't really feel "connected to" for some reason... Like he's good and all, but how the author write and deliver his character in this story is not deep enough(?)to us to feel some kind of "connection" with him. Hahaha yes yes I understand mate that connection you mentioning. It's more like he is all good sure, but he doesn't reach the SAME ENERGY the Uke gives in the story, which felt his character was far off from us.
If this was Otome game, He more like a NPC programmed or something that was thrown to the MC to solve & help his problems idk.. but yeah, he is such a green flag but lacks that energy, connection & link to reach us.
