Isn't her goal helping the duke be happy ? Which is why she wanted to make him comfortanble when he had the curse and just wait for the original heroine and then when she lifted the curse, the MC's goal was again, his happiness which is why she left so his reputation wouldn't be smeared by rumours of him loving a maid.
Now she came back with the conviction that the original plot is no more so she might as well help the duke be happy with her and achieve her own happiness in this love.
So, the way I see it she never strayed from her original goal. It just changed from "I hope he can be happy without me" to "I see his happiness is with me so I hope he can be happy with me"

The main plot is good. The storyline has great potential (▰˘◡˘▰). ML is handsome as hell and I like that his willing to disappear just to protect FL and FL is pretty and I like how she portrayed life lol. Ari aka the past life of FL has a BIG role in the story and I can already tell how this will affect their love story and make a conflict out of it also the manager can also be a rival of ML in the name of Love for FL, just my guess on how the story will go (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
