Thinking about it, Sunwoo being treated like a burden by literally everyone because of him being pregnant is depressingly true to life with how IRL pregnant women often gets treated by even their friends and relatives. Experiencing misogyny even without being a woman... Truly a pioneer.
Also, remember again and again that this whole mess is still going on because Eungyo is literally too prideful to say that he loves Sunwoo without Sunwoo saying it first to him. Like oh my goooodd.
Can we talk about how the chapter right after Mikoshiba is like. Shown to have zero problem "falling" for another guy (Becoming the drama club senior's stan) we have a chapter with him and Mayu being buddy buddy. MayuMiko nation we're so back!!!
Also, the latest chapter actually make me feel that Chiyo really knows her friends well huh? Poor Hori being used as a model for a character lmao.
The chapter with Ryosuke and Miyako is so cute lololol. They really deserve each other.
came back to check on how far the translation has gone and woohoo we're nearing the endgame. everything is gonna fall apart soon and i cant be happier
Not a whole extra chapter to tell everyone that its got the Uncensored tag. We really gonna be seeing the big willy in all its glory huh
Why is jongwoo's friend design the author show made him looking like he's a top for a BL series as well. like mama that's a hottie.
A year... and we don't even get to see post timeskip jongwoo. brother i am ill. i just hope season 2 will be longer because 20 chapter a season is crazy work but then again i imagine "vampire bl romance with zero smut or anything too suggestive" is probably a bit of a hard pitch lol
THE PEOPLE CHASING AFTER HIM ARE GLAD THAT HE GOT AWAY!!!! THEY ALL LOVED HIM SO MUCH I'M CRYING. YU IJIN YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED.
Also ehhh i wish the author do something different with 003. theyre on the right direction when she is all "you have to forget about ijin and join us to survive", but they went with the yandere route instead of the "selfish, myopic realist" she could have been. but of well
003. Girl. i'm gonna hold your hand when I say this but the man you're doing all that for is probably gay.
Inui flopping his studies, not even knowing what gender he actually likes, not noticing the girl who actually likes him. he really is a total idiot (lovingly)
my annual reread of this manga. it's been like. 8 years since I first read this lmao. still one of my favorite BL ever. its so good in all its fucked up glory. the "you didn't love me as a father, and still won't love me as a lover" is INSANE work i love it so much. the kind of shit dreamed up by the mentally deranged. Ike Reibun my GOAT
Honestly, the artstyle change does bother me quite a lot. It gets better going into the side story, but god I miss how expressive and detailed Season 1's artstyle was. As for the story, I think the artist picking up from Season 2 doesn't really "get" the story as well as the one from Season 1. This is a novel adaptation, so there's no writer change or anything like that, but a lot of the emotions written out in the novel doesn't translate as well in Season 2 compared to Season 1
my biggest delusional wish for this is a side story where both doyoons are alive and big doyoon saves small doyoon
I like this a lot actually. This is pretty classic tragedy as far as story structure and characteristic goes. There are so many points, so many ways that things could have turned better. Both Taekyung and Heeseo could have avoided so many things that made their relationship so messed up, but neither of them would because thats just who they are. Idc if this counts as victim blaming or whatever.
Also the whole whodunnit mystery is a nice plot. The bait and switch about the who and why of it all keep me on the edge of my seat lol. The conclusion of that plot is pretty satisfying too, give a decent (if still messed up lol) reason why Heeseo keep Taekyung confined. Should have seen the twist with the actual murderer coming from miles away, considering Season 1 made it clear those old women are insane too lmao.
