He sorta deflected the pebble with it. The scabbard is a part of his outfit and fixed. So he instinctively pulled the sword out since one of his hands was likely resting on it. If we had a book in hand it'd be more natural to deflect the stone with the book cuz hands would sustain a certain degree of damage, in his case he had his hands on a sword. So yeah he pulled the sword out.

i’m very biased when im saying this but it’s really good , i don’t really know about “beginning after the end” because i only got to chapter 3. this one is actually really good . if you’re confused by this i would recommend the novel cause that one actually goes in depth with all the actions. would recommend

Their different TOCF is much more better than beggining after end. Its more elaborate and more specific. It has mystery after mystery and also more comedic. No romance but you can ship anyone wuth the ml.
