it's his insecurities, he just projecting. i kinda get where he is coming from, given that simon is a genius and all but instead of working on himself, he blames simon and actually relies on violence to let his frustrations out. instead of working harder. it's not like simon doesn't make effort lol. he just had the opportunity to be the son of a genius too.
