I get how you would want to move on from what was haunting you and make that make you be a better person (not saying she should forget what happened) Hilde is currently experiencing an emotional trauma, after having been the reason to be another person’s death. Ofc even after everybody saying that “it’s not your fault. You tried your best. You’re not in the wrong” somewhere inside of you would still start something and blame yourself. Hilde, currently being in that state of mind, it was too much for her. Even if she came from a calculating and equally unjust world, being the cause of another’s misery would inflict yourself misery too.

That’s why Caleb’s words was such a comforting wake up call. Because being sweet talked would do nothing but make you feel better about yourself because of what others would view you. But being told that she was at fault, because she had so many options to have chosen from in order to save those children yet she didn’t do it for her own salvation is more hardcore than coffee. That’s where you realize you really are in the wrong instead of contemplating over if whether you really were to be blamed or not. And that’s where you’ll start taking some action. Where the resolution to make up for your mistake and actually be “better” comes from.

And that’s also where Hilde realized that Caleb truly cared about her. (not saying that the others weren’t bc seriously the first thing you’ll think about a stressed out person currently breaking down from self blame is just to comfort bc u won’t understand what’s happening inside somebody’s mind which is breaking down that instant) Because Caleb wouldn’t gain any benefit from this. He might’ve acted a little rash when they first met, but he’s trying to be better and I’m glad she’s starting to acknowledge that. It’s quite sad to think that she needs to think that far ahead just to believe that somebody loves her but who could blame Hilde?

but even after acknowledging all that, it couldn’t be helped if the guilt will crept up on your mind. I just hope she’ll get through this and be truly happy with her life and making all these life lessons make her stronger as the Pope. (´°ω°｀)

I never even got the chance to blow my steam and get angry at right about everyone they all seem to suck at first can’t even distinguish who to blame lmao then that physical, emotional and mental trauma of Shinwoo ran over me like a truck forgetting how to step on the break so many times I don’t even know who am I or what am I doing at this point I was like “why am I even reading this shit” and this freaking author gave an ending I was somehow satisfied about and completely lost the drive to retaliate about how stupid everybody was because everything makes total sense and at the same time it didn’t and I wanna scream (I screamed and punched my body pillow huhu sorry for the abuse bb huhu).

I can’t really hate the prince without any valid proof bc so far the keypoints of everything has been vague (not saying little brother is wrong, but he himself is confused). I always have the feeling that I get the plotline yet I’m still so confused, smth like what Lamia would feel but somehow, we know some things more.

Theory: In Lamia’s past life, she fell in love with Aquila but somehow got killed/died by some unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances and Aquila, being the romantic he is, saved Lamia’s life. But everything has consequences like how he needs to alter Lamia’s memories to keep her life and he needs to fill another role (which is hate) on Lamia that is the complete opposite of what he is (Love) or maybe he’s exchanged with the yellow prince’s role or some other. (sorry forgot the name lol).
