Let's be honest, this break up is already long overdue. I think what finally triggered it was that they were already having an awkward air between them and then subin ran away back to hyunwoo, like what he did when things became downhill between them and he ran into kangjun's arms. I understand kangjun's anger, tbh subin really does need to get his shit together instead of going back-and-forth between his two beau but! Kangjun brought this to himself tbh. He accepted subin and asked him to be his lover, despite knowing that the latter is hung up on hyunwoo. He said he'll treat him right but he also distrusts him and grows very suspicious of subin's actions. He is very insecure because they started this relationship in the wrong foot. And he wallowed in that jealousy, convincing himself that there was no way that subin wouldn't cheat on him. Didn't even give his boyfriend a chance to explain himself because he is already firm in his resolution.
Sometimes separation is the better option to fix a relationship and to sort out what you truly feel. Tbh, i'm just rooting for both of their happiness at this point: together or not, as long as they're happy.

thank god people like shitjun exists in this manga because he certainly is the only one who keeps his friends in check.
