I think since I'm an experienced reader, the story wasn't that striking to me? I was expecting a lot from it since people sold it as magical, gut wrenching and stuff but I didn't really feel all that when reading it Don't get me wrong, I loved reading it but, I wasn't left staring at my ceiling once I was done.
The ending was bittersweet. I'm torn between disliking and loving it. I dislike it for its ambiguity, yet I appreciate it precisely for that reason. Does that make sense? While I would have preferred a concrete ending, I realize that a concrete ending would have clashed with the book's underlying principles
