What she didn’t expect was that Hong Lian who she hired would betray her...( I don’t want to spoil why, it will be revealed later on in the webtoon.) So, when the emperor arrived it was too late. The damage has been done, the princess had PTSD and went crazy, Qin Huai Manor was burned down. And Hong Lian went to hid inside the King’s palace. The emperor took Shen Yu to the capital... And that’s all. Lol.
