If i had that kind of mother i wouldn't even try justifying what she did. She crossed so many lines that what consequences she has given right now is well deserved. Not only she has ruined a family, she ruined a child, a father and her own child's future.
But as much as she was it fault don't you think that emperor was at fault to, he quite literally ignored her, cheated on her and then disgraced her. He did not even try to give their marriage a chance. I agree that what she did was very cruel.

The person at fault really is the emperor, her was a coward and because of this he destroyed all the lives around him.
And for anyone who is going to defend him by saying that he could not help it, he had no power. He was the fucking emperor, if he was able to put a commoner as an empress, he could have atleast divorced his first wife, not let the things go wrong in the first place. Both have fault here and both need to apologize. The father has been doing so but the other side just brushes it off while using the wife's instability as an excuse as if they weren't partially at fault for cornering the Emperor to marry for their family's power.
