I didn't really like the story that much. It's all very cliche and like wouldn't the best candidate to be the leader be the smart guy and not the popular guy?? I don t kniw if I got better bc I could not read ch 3.
I think the whole idea is they're all geniuses in their respective field but they all lack something.

IDK about popular dude though... I mean, thus far he's proven to be good at communication (which i think is the most important thing for leaders) and even if he isn't super strong we saw some gun-slinging skills so i don't think he's necessarily lacking in fighting ability. Maybe his flaw is strategy?
Basically, from what we know so far, I do think "popular guy" is better as a leader because of the communication thing.
