i love katarina, she's such an uplifting character, i totally relate with all the ppl who care for her, i feel like as long as she's herself everything will be alright :') i'm really looking forward to hearing her seiyuu in the anime
Yeah.... not my cup of tea. The characters go from likable to unlikable to me real quick (especially both mcs, whose actions and feelings i don't understand) and I don't understand what the author wants to convey with some of the relationships? Like with Romi, at one point I was ready to ship her with Dokyung cause I thought their bond was cute, and I didn't care about Hajin but then nothing came out from it? Anyway, I'm dropping it now.

Personally the only thing I hate is Aki, cause this guy has no redeeming qualities, like at all. Makes you wonder what the ppl around him sees in him.
But even so I like that this manga has many flawed characters and relationships, I think some of the perspectives are beautiful, Uenoyama's love for Mafuyu is so pure, and Mafuyu's love for Uenoyama is so fragile. Haru's love is unconditional but painful. Aki and Ugetsu relationship is just a beautiful trainwreck.
Honestly if you don't like BL or romance that focus on feelings rather than sex, then you should read something else, there's plenty of that out there. Personally I'm enjoying the pain lmao, I'm here for it in fact, it really reminds me her doujin works 13 cm/Kizuato Spectrum, so freaking painful yet so good, it gives me the same kind of feelings.

i have the same reasons, but i don't see oge's and aki's relationship pleasing, the way oge chose music over aki tells a lot about him and why he's such a music prodigy... no more than this...
I want to ask you a question if you don't mind. What do you think makes Mafuyu's love for Uenoyama so fragile. Is it because he lost his first boyfriend and probably hasn't completely healed or should I say coped with it yet or is there another reason for his love being fragile for Uenoyama ?

I didn't mean fragile in the sense 'feeble' or 'weak', but yeah like you said his first boyfriend died in awful circumstances and they had that 'once in a lifetime' vibe that Mafuyu will not find with anyone else (I mean, they knew each others since they were kids, so it's an irreplaceable relationship) In comparison, his relationship with Uenoyama is like a newborn baby or a flower bud (therefore fragile)
But I feel like things will be fine for them because Uenoyama is such a good hearted and open minded guy, I honestly love their relationship the most and I wish we could see more of their development in the series ;.;

Okay thank you for taking your time to explain it to me. I have a better understanding of what you mean now and I think your very much right in your statement. I do feel that Mafuyu felt that Yuki (I think that was his name but I'm sorry if I'm wrong) was someone with immense importance to him and was someone he loved very much. It was his first love and probably someone he had planned on spending the rest of his life with if it weren't for that tragic event taking place. I do feel as well that his relationship with Uenoyama is new and they haven't formed that deep and close bond as he did with Yuki. But maybe they will be able to once Mafuyu is able to cope with his pain and find the strength to move on. If not, I feel like there will always be this wall formed around Mafuyu heart preventing him to love someone as much as he did with Yuki. I hope that Uenoyama will be someone that will be able to tear done that wall and be someone that can support, love and help heal Mafuyu's heart for all the pain he had to endure alone.
I'm hoping as well that later on that the author will come back to these two. Because even tho they got together I feel that things between them is still unresolved in there relationship.

I also hope for the same. I dont want uenoyama just to be behind someone's ghost and that Mafuyu will learn to put closure as well with his “what if” with Yuki and be able to see the present and look for a new future genuinely

The plot... where is it... lmao. Right now it's like I'm reading something about a rich spoiled girl who's surrounded by beautiful ppl.. where are the goals? the struggle? what am I rooting for? It's like the author occasionally introduces interesting plot points, then take them away until whenever...
Anyway, that bit in the chapter where the guys called Ria beautiful but were turned off when she agreed was really annoying.. like let her be confident ffs.
As a side note and this is only my personal opinion, I'm really not fond of the art anymore, I thought Ria was cute as a child, and she'd become more beautiful as she'd grew, but instead, she has the exact same face, except her hair is longer and she's taller, the art feel flat to me now.
What a lovely read, this author really gets what angst is when you're an LGBT teen. Love a BL that can address real life issues without turning into a melodrama fest.
