I can’t get over the brother’s conduct. What kind of brother would want his sister to become someone’s sex partner to save his business from his own inept mismanagement? Isn’t that just selling her into prostitution? If anyone had ever tried that with me and my sister, I would have taken great pleasure in spoiling his pretty face, teeth, and probably gone for a few fractures as well, even if it cost me bankruptcy and assault charges. If I had been scum enough to go for it, my father would probably have put me out of my misery. There are just some things that are TOTALLY unforgivable.
They’re just like the 1930’s song, “You always hurt the one you love.” Other women can commit any crime and they don’t give a damn, but when he loves you, honey, you had better run for the hills because you’re fair game and in his sights for the most excruciating and humiliating revenge his nasty mind can come up with. No wonder so many of the Harlequin MLs would rather have a vasectomy without anesthesia than fall in love.
Perhaps it's the art that keeps me from taking this manga seriously, but I find it hard to believe that the author is the same one who wrote "Zoe's Lesson," which I still consider one of the best stories of the genre. I guess it kind of makes clear that the re-write by the mangaka can really make or break the original story.
I do understand. You were just doing your job. However, when your job had you seduce me and betray me, you ceased being an investigator and became a KGB Agent. And now you want me to go back to my naive and innocent self and be your lover? Excuse me, but what psychotropic substances are you addicted to? Please go and join the CIA so you can do this for a living and hide it under the guise of patriotism. Oh, and by the way, I have taken out a restraining order against you, and if you approach me again, I will get the pleasure of having YOU taken off in handcuffs.

My God, she had lousy taste in men! They painted up the ML as dweeb of the century, and Luis as a sensitive and caring guy that any woman would die for. Where were her brains?
