You're not, it's clear that the rings mean alot to SooIn and him acting that way though understandably traumatized doesn't mean he can just do something like that. It's not like SooIn was deeply traumatized after everything that happened to him with that abusive asshole. Traumatic experiences are never an excuse to treat others roughly.
