I obviously can't speak for the author, but in my own experience, it's just fun exploring different character types. After writing a more stable ML, the author probably wanted to try something different. It can get boring doing the same thing over and over. But maybe their next project will swing back around and there'll be another Ahjuicy type. (≧∀≦)
