It's worse. I just finished reading it and I was a bit satisfied with the ending but my heart hurts so much. It's so sad and beautiful. But you won't be able to stop crying after you finish reading the novel.

Probably gonna get hate for this but I'm going to say my own opinion.
1.) The mothers corpse was frightening. She did deserve to suffer after putting her own son through numerous situations that could affect him. Like bringing home other men which makes him not believe in others. Or forcing herself on him because he's like his dad which is just as messed up. He might never see himself as worthy unless he gets his mother's approval. His mother could have changed his mentality, making him obsessed with her and unable to leave her which is why he did what he did to her corpse.
2.) I feel so bad for bum. He's been tortured and gone through so much. Just when he thinks he can be happy it's taken away from him. He's gone through so much betrayal, murder, seen so many things he shouldn't see I would be surprised if he was still sane. He's dependent on Sangwoo maybe because he was shown kindness and Sangwoo would take care of him when no one else would. The guilt Bum feels for the deaths or the anger about how he lied and can't do anything about it is suffocating him. I want Bum to be happy, but if the burdens become too much that it drags him down I hope he can release it.
