I feel like Lorkan is the reason Brian died. I remembered from the earlier chapter that Sol just saw Brian dying. It might mean that Lorkan brought Brian to kunabula without Sol knowing nor Brian's consent and somehow their contract does not allow them to be away far from each other. Or Lorkan tried to do something. This is just my HYPOTHESIS. Lorkan, no, Cardinal Brixton seems like he is just obsess with Ian and not love him. Its seems to me, he just saw Ian as a possession.

Tay is really unique. Unlike others, he's really not bending complete to Ilay. He would retaliate first then comply next. Their dynamic and chemistry is really cute and something.
