like is this really happening there? do they bully each other and the teachers pretend not to see? why are there so many stories that involve heavy bulling?

Well I was once bullied so I know how it feels like. Teachers really do pretend not to see and when you report it to them you live in fear because if bullies get to know it was you it will all get worse. I decided to change schools back then since even principal didn't help me
Power and chain of command is HUGE.
If your parents donate money to the school, the school will do whatever to keep the funds coming. (schools more funding for good test scores, good athletics, highly qualified teachers. In order to get top scoring students, talented athletes, high class teachers is to have an expensive curriculum/books/tech, expensive equipment, and loads of money to pay the teachers. A lot of schools are basically running on donations and tax dollars, which isn't much sometimes. Idk if schools outside the US run on tax dollars) SO that "golden child" could never get in trouble or be the slightest bit inconvenienced because the parents might tighten their money. So that bastard child will get away with as much as they can until someone bigger and badder (richer or higher up in status) comes along.
Hence stories where a bully gets away with damn near killing someone because their parent is a prominent political figure who has friends in the law and other areas of govt. Or they're just damn rich, and part of the school-board.
Their Achilles heel would be angering someone related to a billionare CEO, who owns damn near every property in the city. ORRR a person who just doesn't give a fuck because they literally have nothing to lose. And they WILL fight back cuz you cant threaten or silence them.
Man!! that's sad, teachers are supposed to protect the students, even take the problem to the police if necessary （￣へ￣）
