I don't know how it works in Japan but I've already dated someone underaged when I've had already passed "adult age" (like a lot of poeple I think), and in Belgium, even if you have the consent of the parents, ANYONE: family, teachers, neighours, or someone in the street; who see you together and don't like it can put their nose in your business and file a claim against the major (in Belgium at least 18 years old) with statutory rape, and you risk to be sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison and a fine of several thousand euros.
Plus, if the minor has not yet the sexual majority (in Belgium at least 16 years old), if you're major you risk to be sentenced now 10 to 15 years plus the fine.
For my case, when we started to date, he was almost 16 years old.
So in the eyes of the law, I raped a child during half a year and after I raped a minor since then... Too stupid, right? Because it wasn't a as serious matter as that but it cools you down, isn't it?
