I honestly think her relying on this governor isn’t something she would do, so the fault unfortunately lies in the author. The author has written Leana as a character who wholeheartedly believes the events in the book will always happen. She’s just started to realize things are changing, but more as the role are switched, so she believes the events are the same just different people. For someone who deeply cares about what thee future is in the book, it’s very idiotic of her to talk to this character who was never mentioned in the novel and confide in him, especially when she treats the novel as some prophesizing novel. And she hasn’t met Mia for long, but I feel she knows her well enough from both the novel and experience to know she wouldn’t be the type of person to do that, considering how naive the girl is. I understand she’s afraid of dying, but gurl, if you have realized this late in the game that your actions can change the future, there is still time to change the future to change shit. Don’t be depressed, proactive for gods sake!
She didn't just disregard Leanna's feelings tho. Also the emperor's. She knows he loves Leanna but she kept on inserting herself between them.
But Mia isn't the topic in this thread. I read 29 and 30. And tbh i think i understand Leanna's panic. Let's not forget she was thrown into the world of the novel. Then suddenly everything she knew isnt what's happening anymore. And now in a state of panic due to accumulation of all the "not right" things that has been happening, she reached the conclusion of instea dof being throw into prison, her life could be in danger to keep the story right, Since she thinks she's now in Mia's role. And Lehman has been there for her since she got into the novel. And yes she knows that he's also an abomination to the whole plot, but so is she. So it's no wonder that she might feel inclined to trust him, someone who showed her kindness.
But I bet Lehman is behind the attacks. Lol. He's sketchy af and all those foreshadowing.

This is the exact reason I loathe my least favorite novel. It was set in the future after the events in the main series, but honestly I couldn’t believe it was the same character because of all the plot holes

I think he doesnt realize his actions have repercussions since he can basically do whatever he wants but once maize finds out who he really is he’ll realize he he has something to lose and be more aware.it doesn’t really defend his current actions but he probably has a reason why he doesn’t really consider others and would just someone without thought. (Maybe from a young age he looked down on others since he was powerful or at a young age others looked down on him leading him to hate them)
Not really defending what he has done but the novel maise is in is a third rate novel according to her, where everything is fixed and the plot is meh. The fact that maisse deviated from the original plot is causing changes to the novel and that the original evil actions of the demon king has lessened already, with him approaching maise and instead of killing those people in the blind date but just looking into them and changing one participant. So in short, there is a great chance the demon king might change for the better but i'm guessing a lot of things will still happen before that happens. Hehehe
