I think some of the reasons people find her "annoying" have a lot to due with the simple fact she's not swooning over him instantly, they expect her to reciprocate because the male lead wants her. they want her to stop making everything so difficult for HIM. give him what he wants. be the demure, shy and easily embarrassed herione they are used too reading about in these romances and be "won" over. I myself no issues with her character, i actually find aruem to be a quite refreshing female lead but to each their own I guess
i personally don't want her to swoon and blush and stuff. The only reason I find her annoying is that i feel like she just can't read the mood. Be it the staff or the duke...she just jumps into straight conclusion...
Actually, the character you describe are much more annoying than Areum. Those easy preys literally ruins a good manga. I would have dropped this sooner if she was like that. However it’s tiresome to explain why I find her annoying. So let us all just have a good read. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
But i wonder why she didn’t revert back to being a woman? She overused her powers to the point of collapsing, shouldn’t that break her spell or something? I mean she had no means to sustain it anymore. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
