the point of view that the story is in is so selfish because it’s only considering what nene wants and because of that, in the end he’ll probably become a lion again. it’s no small thing to be able to just simply walk around town and buy things and interact with people and be seen with your girl without being treated like shit but the story treated it like it was. but i would like the story better if shishi stayed human and got to live the normal life he wanted and nene came to love him just the same. because to me shishi’s past pain trumps what nene is starting to feel. hers is temporary but he’s been feeling like shit his whole life.
