The thing is there are no more characters to follow, so the author is resorting to the worst thing they could do: take useless, annoying characters who don’t mean anything/have done terrible shit and then give them their own story since the author doesn’t want to let go of the story they’ve written. Sadly, so many good stories have fallen for this.
