Eh? I don't really think so? Would you still feel the romance is forced if the mc and the priest were females? Without considering the effect the changed gender would have on the rest of the story. Mc whitewashed himseld and the priest so hard they are shining... and I've seen men fall for changed villainess over far less in hetero rofan... not to mention... they are actually very good looking so... I don't think is forced at all.
Maybe you're feeling that because we have relatively few bl rofan... we do have some genderbender where mc disguises as men for some time and ml getting a bit confused.. but those are still hetero. Bl rofan is relatively new...
Anyway... I'm already happy having a mc who's not a reformed villain turned holy mary... so I don't mind it being bl... even if it wasn't... I'd probably ship them anyway... xD

Yes lt's still feels forced. Main reason for me was bro MC married (really blackmailed) the ML's lover and ex fiancee like now he's falling for him cause he's revealed to be KIND(actually not but)??? They're like 40+ something too?

Not only kind but... that supposedly he didn't sleep with her, "saved" her from a worse destiny, knew Sigurd wasn't his from start and raised him anyway, protected their honor (remember that this cheating would be enough dishonor for him to lose his job) and have been "sacrificing" himself and dirtying his hands for the country. And there's the guilt from hating him when he's actually "that good". As I said... mc whitewashed him and the priest so hard they are shinning...
Besides the knight is obviously a facecon considering how beautiful Yurikano was... and Mc is even more of a beauty tbh... so maybe he's bi? Or doesn't care as long as they are good looking?
Now mc... maybe he was originally hetero... but I feel a man that obsessed with a female oriented dating sim (where the targets are all male)... ain't no way he's straight...
The priest im not very sure... but maybe his sexual orientation is linked with his "disgraceful" past? Depending on what it is maybe even mc before memories weren't exactly straight too... and his pairing... idk... he just seems to fall in love easily with anyone "kind" imo...

There are some things I want to correct,
1. MC is still the same person as in the original story/game(?), with the addition that he has his memories from past. In other words, his previous cruel behavior was true.
2. As far as I know, he didn't say he was "gay" or "straight". So in my opinion, he suddenly liked men because from the start he didn't say he doesn't like men/straight men. In fact, he doesn't mind Malaki's past (spoiler : Malaki was once a 'victim' rape commited by several men. &Until this day he still carries out the 'business' of s*x relations with men)
3. Actually, he (MC) was targeting ML just to be a pawn, so he gave up anything to get ML's attention (including having s*x)

I believe he is a reicarnator that was born into that world and remembered memories of his past life at earth. He didn't become someone else, he remembered memories of a past life. He is a Reincarnator.
When they get into the body of someone who just had a near de@th experience or recently passed they become someone else completely (be it someone from same world or a differentone). Those are Possessors.
When they d!e in their og world and some higher entity (aka god) transfer them to another world with theirs or a better body or they get summoned. Generally have a body of their own not naturally born in that world. They are Transmigrators.
If they d!e and get sent back to the past (usually in their own body) they are Regressors.
So the only ones that aren't really isekai are Regressors... still fantasy... the other 3 are all flavors of isekai.
But yeah... Mc is a reincarnator, not a possessor.

Ahem... I've read it... at least the first volume. I'm sorry. You are right. The romance in general is very abrupt and feels forced. Not as if there's no reason for them to fall but that the fall is not a slope but a cliff. They fall too hard and too fast. And the novel is fast paced and there's a lot happening all the time and feels like the author sometimes forgets is a bl and then just throw smex for basically half a chapter out of nowhere and then... just move on with the plot. The revenge maing plot is really good but the romantic subplot wasn't executed very well. Both the bl and hetero ones.
Im kinda curious what the vol2 plot is gonna be. But I also feel ending there is good and that they will just talk about the adventures of mc and ml after the main plot and it feels weird to read about it when you've already read about their end on vol1. Feels like anime that gets popular and they put a lot of filler in it to squeeze their popularity. But we'll see...
About Juliette and Sigurd... he wasn't the less worse option... he was the "only" option... he and the trash prince... are the only heteros in this...
