here's what i understood about mc and his rs with the old guy basing on the flashbacks and mc's behavior: mc is attached towards the person who showed pity/empathy towards him when he was young and their time tgt undoubtedly left a mark on his life. n we don't really know what the old guy felt for him tho but we get hints (from flashbacks) that he kind of just took mc under his wing and did whtv the fuck he wanted.
im assuming it's what basically happened too w the fuckass (ml) but it's not because of empathy/pity that got mc attached to fuckass it's just bc he was the only person ever remaining in his life. he was literally confined for idk many days and was even raped day by day by the same fuckass until he subconsciously got used to it and learned how to like it bc what choice did he have?
