i truly think that the only reason the top had that type of reaction from the kiss is because he didn’t think that the bottom would ever initiate anything and not bc he’s shady or smtg from the past chapters the bottom kept thinking that the top only wants sex, and that the top is giving him money for sex the top figured that out pretty quickly bc in that car scene he asked if the bottom was dense. and from the conversation with the tops friend i think the top is used to ppl using him so he might’ve thought the bottom is doing the same thing since the bottom did say he wanted money but when he saw the uke’s face after he kissed him it was different. As we saw the uke doesn’t voice his emotion but you can you can see it on his face, so i think that the top picked up on that and he’s just shocked that his feelings are being returned and it’s genuine, like the uke is not forcing himself to do this he’s doing it in his own will. This is just my take on the situation!!
