only catching up to the manga now. it does show that serie does care; she tells genau to not be kind so he'll live long, and for good measure, she pairs him with a mage who can do healinf magic, maybe because she knows well enough what genau is like and what could happen, and thus picks a mage who will let genau survive that much longer --- and methode did save him. frieren was right lmao
shit now im nervous about sein...i think serie wouldn't die; she is a different mage from frieren and fern, but they feel like the two sides of one coin anyways. it is likely true that magic would die if someone like serie dies, and we can't have that can we? sein on the other hand....he's walking towards a different direction. imagine the guilt of delaying an adventure with your friend, and instead of him living happily, the two of you has to face each other gaaaah
