Here’s why it’s a bad idea, and why he didn’t considered it: 1) Though he is the real victim here, some people will have an idea that it’s one of those cases where “the rich bullies the poor gal”. The public might turn against him, and his uncle might use that to his advantage. Jinyao doesn’t need that kind of publicity. 2) He wants to stay out of the public eye. He has been like that for the longest time, that’s why only a handful of people outside of rich people circles knew him, or what he looked like. He will want that privacy all the more especially now that he promised that he will protect Yiyi and Rourou.

There was a comment a few pages back simping for bitch, like she feels for Qianqian since she’s poor. It kinda made my blood boil a bit. I know most of us here are from normal family backgrounds, and no matter how much we wanted to be rich (just stay at home, not work and buy all the manga and BL merch on the planet), we have no choice but to earn our keep in an honest way. So stop simping. She is clearly in the wrong here. She could’ve taken advantage of her position as Jinyao’s beard in another way by asking for money for example, but not this. What she did is totally wrong

It’s easier for her to drop out, she can just transfer to a mid-tier school, or start working to support herself. If she gets sued, not only she will have to leave school, she has to pay Jinyao (she doesn’t have money), and her reputation will be damaged, affecting her future employment prospects. Worse, she could end up in jail.
I doubt Jinyao will actually do it for real, but she has to learn.
