He was a weak king! So won was not going to kill him for Revenge, but he was going to prove it and see if he was a worthy king, the king instead of trying to save his people, only acted as a "placeholder" for yona, he didn't give a shit about his citizens, all he ever cared about were his beliefs and superstitions, he said he did it because he didn't want his brother to take the throne but he probably was a worse king than his brother ever could be. Im definitely not calling him a Hero thats for sure. King Il knew what was going to happened and instead of tryna work a way around it or trying to change certain things so events dont lead up to what they were suppose too maybe for sure the outcome would of been different but he decided to stay the weak king that everyone said he was. This is was what was forseen by his wife. Yes Yona was raised being selfish and spoiled but i think she was only raised by her dad that way because he knew what the future would hold for not only him but for Yona As well Hence he decided to spoil his daughter rotten.The hardships that Yona has gone through since the death of her father has humbled her and made her headstrong. She has her small circle that she trust and with them she knows they have her back no matter what. King Il was definitely weak but he was also strong in his own right. There are so many sides to this story and tragically this has affected all of them and their children sadly.
