I was thinking that too and I get that feeling you're talking about but in the early chapters we saw him fucking someone without a care so I'm more interested in who he fucked that gave him that jinx, the good luck, and if he cared about or loved that person xD maybe he was used for money, betrayed and dumped so he thinks that he needs to repeat that behaviour, to fuck someone, before the match for good luck, like his previous partner did or something.
