Honestly I feel like the ML didn't do anything wrong or isn't that bad. It could just be the household I grew up in, but we expressed our affection through actions not through words no one went around talking about I love you. And I feel like the ML does a great job of that he's faithful he cares he just doesn't say it. Now I understand that the MC isn't that type of person and needs words of affirmation. However he didn't really communicate that well either. He literally had the floor to ask him anything he wanted to and he just kept repeating the same stuff about not knowing anything about him or getting his questions answered. （￣へ￣）
I do feel like though the backstory was highly unnecessary because it just made him seem like an ungrateful asshole(〜￣△￣)〜
