Omg I wrote a really really long summary and then... I accidentally pressed refresh X.X lmk if you want more details but shorter version is:
Ancia researches more into curse, Diana was used as a spy but cuz she’s a good girl refuses which made count mad but Diana was protected and wanted to learn swordsmanship, became good friends with Blake and was sent off to academy to learn formally. Blake used his power/ curse to make the count go crazy thinking he’s cursed and his skin is on fire etc. Ancia discovers bits and pieces of hidden truth and the fabricated history of the empire and the curse, the cat guy’s brother also helped her (the two are royals and have contracted dragons so they have powers and stuff) One day Ancia and Blake fell asleep in each other’s embrace watching fireworks and Blake is cured. But days later writing appears on Blake’s body again. Ancia finds out she has to save the goddess from the door of darkness where she was imprisoned first emperor (that’s evil).
Ancia, Richard and Blake are all reincarnations of ppl from the time of the founding of the empire. (They had different names) Ancia was engaged to Blake who was crown Prince of the previous kingdom. Richard was Ancia’s childhood friend who secretly loved her all this time but he went into a relationship with the Goddess and used her. She gave Richard all his powers and became human to be with him. He used his powers to kill the royal family including Blake and other ppl with a disease but cuz he was able to cure it ppl started following/ worshiping him. He started an empire and forced Ancia to be empress but she refuses, he had other wives and other children and after battle with goddess who tried to take away Richard’s powers cuz he evil, he sealed her away. The curse marks on the descendants are actually her cries for help and Richard’s evil deed, but cuz they kept reappearing on the next child after he kills off the first he curses them with another curse to cover it up so you can’t read it. Ancia decides to record history accurately and honour the deaths of those children by inscribing it on the stone plates. Her dying wish was for Richard to display them and iirc her dying words to him were something like I hate you. But anyway he hid them in the old palace which are now ruins and barricaded that secret room really well. He wrote fake history making the dead Blake the villain for everything when he couldn’t possibly do it cuz he was dead. Oh and Amortia palace was made by Richard for Ancia to confine her.
Goddess is mad Ancia is late to rescue her and also mad that Ancia chose Blake over her and Goddess makes Ancia choose between her own life and Blake. Ancia chose Blake but Goddess didn’t ma kill her cuz bracelet but cat guy’s bro saved her cuz there was power in it. Goddess realised she fucked up swapped bodies with Ancia to save her. But then threw her outta there (7 years had passed) , in a weak body full of scars and mute and no powers and was like you’ll see that Blake won’t recognise or love you. But he does, he was still looking for Ancia and saw this girl (he named her Rose) took her in and was so sure she was Ancia cuz of all the little things she does and her habits, even when goddess shows up in Ancia’s real body Blake is convinced that real Ancia is Rose. Goddess gave Ancia 2 chances to kill Blake and return to her side, but she refused. Obviously one of the thing Ancia couldn’t do was confirm her identity, but anyway Blake confronted Goddess in Ancia’s body and he basically chose the antidote in exchange for his life, fed it to Ancia but didn’t die. Goddess realises she’s wrong or something cuz she directed her hatred towards Richard towards her best friend but yea I dunno if anything will happen afterwards to Blake. I haven’t continued reading since that part.
Duke’s family were all punished sometime right before Ancia disappeared and during, Richard was the only one who was spared cuz the public pitied him. And his black magician claimed his master was the duke and not Richard so he wasn’t caught.

Sureeee, but I forgot a lot of the details pre Ancia going into the door of darkness and finding out about the reincarnations so bear with me haha, also finally remembered cat guy and bro's names lol, Eunhan and Baekhan. Spelling of all names my not be accurate cuz I forgot hahaha
Since Ancia's been with Blake everytime the emperor uses the power of light to seal the door Blake isn't in immense pain like he should be and his curse didn't really spread, which indicates that Ancia was the heir of light or whatever the title was called. In the original timeline Ancia was always the heir (and ofc she was the original and reincarnation), when she fell into the lake originally (she didn't try to kill herself she actually did fall, she was already going to go back to Blake and apologise for running away when she saw his face and was grateful to him that she was able to leave the count's family cuz they got married) she saw the stone plate thing in the lake and it drew her in, in was shining in the lake it flashed and she lost her balance so she fell, she tried to get out but something black came out of the stone plate and dragged her down and before she died she was asked who she wanted to pass on the powers to and the only person she could think of was Diana, hence why Diana had the power in the original timeline. So basically in the current story when Diana meets Blake and emperor they don't sense any powers from her. When they cover up the lake to make the greenhouse they'll find the stone with the inscriptions but it was tampered with by Phillip (first emperor/ past Richard).
Current Richard's mother was a different race (forgot the name) but they were believed to have a disease (same one Phillip spread to all the ppl of the old Kingdom, I think they were all of that race? kinda forgot). Basically Richard told duke his mom was sick and duke immediately assumed it was that disease and killed her, eventho his mom told him not to tell, he was just trying to help save his mom. His mom never got a proper grave and one day when he was visiting his mom Ancia appeared and she didn't care his mom was one of those people and paid her respects, she tried to talk him into being good but it didn't work. At this point Richard already started getting pretty obsessed with her iirc.
I forgot if it was mentioned but Ancia was really determined to be the one to lift Blake's curse cuz she threw away the mindset of letting Diana be the one to lift it cuz she wanted to be by Blake's side and wanted to lift it earlier to spare him anymore pain from it. Anyway she ended up going to the ruins of the old palace which was destroyed by fire and the land was contaminated (I think it's with darkness), basically too much exposure is bad and could kill u or wtv. Emperor let her go after she was so insistent but asked Eunhan to reveal his identity so he's no longer a shadow just so he could accompany Ancia there and make sure she's safe. Emperor also gave them accessories that can purify to a certain extent but it'll be really dangerous once it breaks. They first come accross the huge stone plate that had an inscription of Rakshul (past Blake) gathering a rebellion and burning all records and books with their ancient language and storming that palace, and how Phillip was the one who fought against them and all. They realised it doesn't make sense because of how it is written and as I mentioned previously this was all fabricated. Machul (idk if I spelt it right) who are thought to be evil creatures (They are actually creatures I think created(?) by Goddess/ Serphenia/ Ser) tried to show Ancia the way to the hidden place where Phillip built a ton of walls to conceal, the final room has a barrier and Ancia's able to open it cuz she has the powers. There she finds the names and deaths of some of the past princes which wasn't recorded in history on the stone plates and they basically figured out that history was a lie. the purifying thing breaks and Eunhan gave her his that hasn't broken yet and they left the place tho Ancia wasn't very willing to.
Baekhan came to take Eunhan back to their country but Eunhan kept refusing. Baekhan contracted the white dragon who is in charge of appointing the next king and he chose Eunhan. The reason Eunhan was in hiding was because the black dragon contracted was prophesied to bring misfortune to the country but actually was good and I think the dragon of rain or storm smtg like that so since Eunhan was chased out there has been a draught. Eunhan kept refusing and Baekhan told Ancia that he'd help her find what she's looking for if he could help convince his bro to return, she feels bad about it cuz she knew the ppl there made him suffer but she wanted to save Blake but she ended up never really pushing Eunhan to do what he didn't want to. Eunhan was mad the entire time and trying to chase Bakehan away and make him go home, but apparently it's because as he contracted the white dragon, if he's away from his country for too long he'd die. Baekhan was willing to stay there and die cuz Eunhan was his only real family since as low ranking children in a superrrr big family they were mistreated by everyone and Eunhan was always the one that helped Baekhan back then. Baekhan decides to help Ancia anyway and unscrambles and restores the writings on the stone they fished out of the lake (kinda forgot what was written something about how Phillip put the other curse on top of the original one). The dark power inside that stone plate tried to attack Ancia again but Baekhan saved her and broke the stone. Baekhan was really fond of Blake too, but soon he collapses and Eunhan decides to go home with Baekhan and try to save him which he managed to. Baekhan also gave Ancia the bracelet that ended up saving her life when she was hit by Ser's powers. Main thing here is that when the black thing tried to attack her again she got that flashback about the original timeline falling into the lake, so she finds out she was the original heir of light and Diana only got the powers because she died and passed it to her.
Curse lifted then new writings on Blakes body and all, the door of darkness opened and emperor went but Ancia went too to save Ser, she was dragged in by some Machuls hence why everyone assumed she died and there was a 7 year skip. In those 7 years while Ancia was in the door of darkness she found out everything about the past lives stuff. Ancia was Laontelle (Laon) who was best friends with Ser and they often met, she received her blessing and that's why she's a polyglot and has the power of light. Laon was friends with Phillip (Richard) and Ser fell in love with him at first sight. Laon was engaged with crown prince Rakshul (Blake) at this time it was more political reasons and they didn't know their feelings for each other was mutual. Ser also gave Laon a necklace that's able to help her find her when she needs her. Ser told Laon she was gonna give all her powers to Phillip and become human to be with him, Laon told her she should rethink and Ser lashed out at her. Phillip and Ser left, then one day the disease thing started happening and Rakshul was determined to help cure it, somewhere along the way they realised their love for each other but then Rakshul got the disease as well and Laon tried calling Ser for help a lot of times but the necklace wasn't reacting. Rakshul died in Laon's arms and it was really sad. Richard then appeared curing ppl and then became emperor and was just using his powers for evil against ppl who opposed him and gaining power through evil means. He took in other wives but was always obsessed with Laon so he tried to force her to be his empress but she refused. Laon finds out Ser was in the valley of chaos with Phillip and that's why she couldn't be contacted and Ser's body has a lot of marks which were punishment for her powers being used for evil. Laon gave her powers back to Ser so she could fight Phillip to take back all her powers but she failed and Ser gave back the last bit of powers she could to Laon before she was sealed away by Phillip. Laon was the one that made all the stone plates about the truth. I think I already explained the curse on top of the initial curse thing and Phillip basically burned down the old palace and tainted the grounds so people would never go there and find out the truth, hence the new palace and Amortia being made to confine Laon and she dies there, the stone plate with the truth of the curse being thrown into the lake and all. Before she dies she tried to get a maid to pass on the necklace given by Ser to her nephew but it was later found buried in a secret room under the now fallen Duke's (Richard's dad) residence but from the looks of it the room was made during Phillips time and the necklace was found there. Oh and Ser knew that Phillip loved Laon the entire time.
When Ancia finds Ser burning in flames for the past 1000 years she rescues her and then there's the I can't believe you took so long blah blah. Ser kinda not in her right mind, but anyway she thought that she was helping Ancia not walk down the same path she did with Phillip back then by making her choose between lifting Blake's curse and Ancia's life. Ancia chose Blake but didn't die cuz of the bracelet, the body swap happened and Ancia was let out of the door of darkness and into the valley of chaos. In Ser's scared weak body with white hair and mute, Ser wanted Ancia to realised Blake's love was shallow (like Phillip's, she also thought that Phillip didn't like her because she was ugly because of the marks on her body when he used the powers for evil). Blake was drawn to her and realised she reacted to Blake and the knight that used to be with them all the time when they were younger. Blake was searching for her for 7 years and he brought this girl back to his camp, he's not a lip reader but he's able to read her lips, saying that it's because he knows Ancia well and that's why he's able to. He named her Rose, which was the first gift Blake ever gave Ancia. After refusing the Goddess's deal twice to kill Blake, Ancia decided that she just wanted to spend her last 100 days with him without letting him know that it was her to save him the pain of her actually dying. After Blake points out that her habits were the same as Ancia she tried to change them a little but Blake was still sure it's Ancia. There was this whole thing about Rose being mistreated in a noble's house where they spent the night at otw home from the valley of darkness cuz she's of unknown origin and the daughter of the family was jealous. Blake protected her from everyone and got mad at the mistreatment.
Even back in the palace eventho Rose is a special guest the other maids except for one is are quite mean to her. Those ppl end up getting fired when it's revealed that Rose was really Ancia. Sometime when Ser was brought to the palace in Ancia's body by Richard cuz he found her, Ancia was determined to tell Blake she was the real Ancia but couldn't so she tried things like cooking for him. Oh there was also the thing how she saw Ancia's old room and all the refurnished stuff they picked tgt and got really emotional but was really fixated on the rose in the room eventho the entire place was so luxurious. Blake thought Rose how to write and read but Ancia wasn't able to tell Blake who she was through writing. Ancia cooked a dish that with ingredients that Blake doesn't eat but he eats it only in Ancia's cooking (I think it was mushrooms) but anyway by now Blake was reallllllly sure Rose was Ancia. Rose still couldn't tell Blake eventho she wanted to. Blake when he confronted Ser in Ancia's body he was told to choose between saving Ancia and his life. Blake chose to save Ancia, then he said something that kinda woke Ser up. He apologised for her pain (I think as a descendent of Phillip) and Blake says as the one with the curse he could hear her screams in his dreams but he never knew what it was about. Something about like if everything Ser realised what she really wanted to Phillip's apology and forgiveness from Ancia. Ser thought that she was helping her friend not walk down the wrong path like she did but she was wrong because what she and Phillip had wasn't really love and what Ancia and Blake / Laon and Rakshul had was real love and love isn't that shallow. She watched Blake collapse as he fed Ancia the antidote but then Blake eventually wakes up so he doesn't die. Ser disappears after that. Then I haven't continued reading
Phillip was basically just a horrible person, Ser thought Laon abandoned her the entire time while she was kept in the valley of chaos and that Laon didn't contact her with the necklace cuz she forgot about her but it's cuz she couldn't contact him. Ser tried to stop Phillip but he never listened and in the final battle before she was sealed he spouted really mean things at her which I think broke her even more, that's why she thinks her scarred body was so horrible. I probably missed out a couple of things here and there tho.
