I love the 1st couple, but there is no development or story proceeding, the only difference we'll see, is the annoying bratty blonde, atleast that's something!! On the other hand there is something to follow, in the 2nd couple, idk why is the author doing this, it's making me more interested in the 2nd couple....

Yes, I also theorized that the lord will not accept the orb. But Lord realized he love him but he knew it was wrong to just be with the person he took care of. If I remember it correctly, Lord dont want to leave when Hyo un wanted to kick him out.
I also theorized that the reason they separated is because Lord was caught by the king(present bro). He killed himself and that is why Hyo un slept for very long(if I was not mistaken).
