I love the author but it wasn't really a good read for me. At first, it was great but then the flow is just :((( It would've been better if uke pushed seme to go back to his ex. Idk I just prefer it that way. I'm sorry for this.
Tbh, same lol. Its kind of weird?? That when the uke found out the seme's ex actually didnt have other man and he was just in a way feeling bad for the seme, the uke did nothing. Bijjj agree!! I thought it will go down that way but the uke just brush off the truth keeping seme from at least, make a choice for himself. The uke is going to take that shit to the grave knowing the fact the seme could find happiness. The ex was only using another man as an excuse- the real reason was an inferiority complex. I support the break-up. If it's painful to be with someone, then it can be a healthy thing to end your relationship and find someone that being with won't drive you into despair.
I agree with letting go of a toxic relationship is a healthy decision. I don't like seme and his ex to get back together as well. It's just that I want something like pushing back the seme for more conflict in the story. Like in this way, when uke is gonna push seme and then seme would go back to his ex just to talk about he got an important person already something like that to his ex, then we'd get this feeling of secureness with their relationship. For me fiction is fiction, I dont expect any BL story to be as relatable or as realistic as irl. So, I wish for more drama in a BL... its like... my guilty pleasure?? I love to read BL that can make me cried my eyes off on my period basically.
But yea, I get what you mean. His relationship with his ex will be painful if he really is just like you said. However, I think hes more like... insecure?? Which happens to everyone. In this case, they have known each other for a long time. If they get back together Im sure they can work through it although i dont wish for it to happen. Still, the guy he is with now is not exactly better. In a way, their relationship is fragile. If the seme found out about his ex it might crack their relationship open.
The line "scared of anything and everything" really hits hard. I was crying so much while reading the last chapter (before extra). I love this story. It's beautiful.
