This chapter really hits close to home. I can say that it really hits home because I have experienced it myself...where I never allow myself to get attached to someone because of my past family problem and not considering what I felt for the person that I like as 'love'. For me, love is not a word that should be easily thrown to someone. It's bears a heavy meaning. I really like how the author depicts in the story about the reality that there are still people who doesn't realize what love is. The part where he doesn't want to acknowledge his feelings for him because he's scared about the possibility of being left alone again just made me cry. Love is terrifying indeed. It's not easy to deal with it.
Omg same. I've been single for 30yrs because I'm a huge scaredy cat when it comes to love. Fear that was brought on by family problems as well.
