Most mangas that have been adapted to an anime is like that. Honestly I am biased 'cause I already read too many bl I kinda get into the plot and loved it even though it's lacking on many aspects. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ "Doukyuusei" is got to be the most balanced bl movie out there for me. But I just loved Yashiro's personality and the tension between him and Doumeki. I don't like live actions so I'm just gonna read No Touching At All now. Thanks ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
Yeah j get your point too! I think they tried hard to sort of condense everything into the anime. It’s been so hard for the author to continue the manga so I guess when a movie deal comes through, it won’t be the perfect manga adaptation. What I loved about the anime was how it conveyed a lot of what the manga was about. There’s a lot of content that’s cut out here and there but the main plot points are still there. I guess it’s to be expected. The thing is, the manga is just incomparable to anything else. The romance aspect in the manga was slow burn and extremely slow to develop because let’s be real. Trauma, years and years of it. Yashiro is who he is because he has forced himself to be a sexual beast who beats sex by embracing the pain and owning it. Doumeki comes and destroys all that and he is unable to cope with it. Their sex scene was the most powerful one I’ve read in BL manga verse. Definitely worth noting that this is a manga that has dealt with trauma and it’s effects and survival. If this were made into an anime series I’m sure af it would be incredible and hopefully we may see it soon. Apparently the movie sequel is coming next year so let’s all pray we get that. And a new chapter update I am dying to see doumeki and yashiro actually reconnect because they deserve this honestly!
