Emi’s mom does not like him….poor thing. I wonder if shindou is thinking about how Toshio probably can’t form relationships with kids his age bc of what happened to him. And long term how Emi will grow up and be able to tell Toshio is different in a really big way. It probably wouldn’t be safe to stay there that long if emi’s mom is already so suspicious of them. This series so so sweet but also so stressful when you think deeper about it
