I'm rather sure Aoi was a woman (haori in the Mononokean!) as well as I think Aoi was Sakae and Abeno OR Sakae/Abeno mother. Maybe Sakae had rebirth as Abeno and when Hanae was possesed by Sakae, it could be the split of Abeno' personality (???) Sakae was portrayed as a cat in Aoi records and Abeno's eyes are so cat's-like! Also, when Abeno met Hanae's mom for the first time (in the hospital), he had a very intriguing expression. Aoi-san sure is a woman! Aoi transformed into Sakae and went back home because of guilty for letting him die, so just to make sure that Sakae’s family be happy.
People who have high youkai power, will have golden eyes. That’s why Abeno and Sakae have golden eye. I don’t know if there is a relation between these two???
I know that Sakae really love his family, that’s why his soul comes back into Hanae’s body to save Hanae. TBH, Hanae is so badass when activating Sakae’power! I really want to see more his power!!!
I wonder if Hanae fights Executive again, who will win??? (≧∀≦)

OMG!!! We're right - Aoi is a woman for sure!! I've just read a summary of the new chapter here (and from what I've read, there must be a connection between Aoi ans Hanae): http://tomodachimeter.tumblr.com/
And this new chapter's ending line - “The person closest and farthest from him…” Who is the closest person if not a family member - a father, mother, siblings...? So, maybe Abeno indeed is Hanae family member .

I don’t think Aoi is Sakae. Aoi is a woman with black hair. Sakae is Hanae’s father - a man with blond hair and blond eye.
We mostly see Aoi as a black cat. She transform into Sakae for Sakae’s family to be happy because of her guilty.
We are nearly to the chapter of Abeno’s past so we will get more image of Aoi (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Sorry for my poor English, lol! I mean, I'm not thinking that Aoi is Sakae, but that Aoi could be Sakae's mother or Abeno's mother (I wrote it like this: "I think Aoi was Sakae and Abeno OR Sakae/Abeno mother" while I believe I should wrote it like this: I think Aoi was Sakae's and Abeno's OR Sakae's/Abeno's mother.) Or sister. Sorry^^ Hmm... I still think that it's possible that Abeno is Hanae's father - while Abeno was talking with Hanae about Sakae, Mononokean told sth like this: "it was SHORT before I met Itsuki", and Mononokean was talking about the 2 of November - it was the time while Aoi was back injured from her work. So, if the 2 of November was a short time before Mononokean met Abeno, it should met him while Abeno was a few months baby (??) OR before Sakae transformed into Abeno. And other possibility - I'm thinking that there could be two "Ashiyas" - two brothers - one brunette and one blonde, so one of them could be Hanae's father and the second one could be Abeno's dad. When Aoi transformed into "Sakae", she looked like a man with dark hair and dark eyes, and Sakae had golden hair and golden eyes... so wtf???? That's why I think that there could be two Ashiya brohers.
