First of all, Julius crazily obsessed with Ilian and disregard her own personal feeling, which raised red flag number 1. This is a common setting for most of the male lead in manhwa: obsession. But most of the obsession does turned into love in the end. In this case, he is most probably clinging to Ilian because she made him feel safe around her as an adult figure. Which make feel a slight ick because of similar feeling as Oedipus complex (I know she is not his mom but I'm just saying).
Secondly, I don't really blame on Illian tbh, she just wants to live a happy life with her son. She might think Julius is handsome, but we all know deep down, she thinks him as a child that she knows from years ago.
Lastly, before he wants to fall in love, he should find a psychiatrist or have some counselling session cuz he really need one. FL is not a therapist and I don't think he will get better over time. In the end FL will suffer because she need to tolerate and put up with him.

I usually like obsessive, possessive you name any crazy characteristics in the ML but with a certain condition, that's to respect the MC.
