Right?? There was like huge gaps with the background storytelling and it didn’t feel like the re-summarizes what happened so far to lead up to this moment. It just feels out of the blue
I think this really happens when you're reading an ongoing story. You usually gets confused specially when you're reading other story too.
Honestly I re-read a few weeks ago but still got confused xD
No I read quite a few ongoing stories and I can recall upon the history of the plot whenever there are things that allude to the past. And I have bad memory, but this is just on another level. The writing is good when they talk about the present day situation and the relationship development between the main characters but I don’t think the author did a good job of naturally weaving and integrating the relationships with other supernatural characters and how everything is intertwined. It felt too sporadic and the author didn’t make it easy to naturally make connections. Every time they reveal some kind of interaction from a supernatural authoritative figure, it’s always so vague. So after reading this, readers are confused and now have to go back and re read what the fuck is going on.
