there is some flashback chapters like 2 or 3 and in the meantime Matthew doesn't give up and chases after Jin. That pos Brandon kidnaps an unconscious Jin with the purpose of forcing him to stay locked up somewhere probably. Jin's subrdinates show up to rescue Jin and Matthew realizes he can't go back to being a normal civilian, picks up a gun and goes to rescue Jin. It's gonna get really exciting.
