the great wish is like a relic/power that is passed down to the emperors. the emperor before the current one passed it down to siena and when she was about to die, God came to her and asked what her wish was and she wished to have a different meeting with kuhn. people have theories whether the dream siena is the reality and whether what we’re reading now is a dream but the author might’ve left it ambiguous.
kuhn also had a lover named fatima in the dream world but we’ll see fatima soon in the real world. she falls in love with him but he’s already smitten and head over heels for siena so disregards her.
dian gives up the throne when his child is shown to have no highlights. he gives it up because he knows siena will protect him and his family which is why he wanted the throne in the first place
kuhn becomes marquis thanks to the emperor. the emperor helps kuhn and dian gain power, more power than the lehman’s (the red king/mom and uncle) because he’s trying to take revenge for the death of dian’s mom

I don't think the dad is jealous but he's trying to get rid of the one thing that could ruin his perfect life which is moonhyuk, he had probably heard rumours of his son and moonhyuk sleeping together which was yeonjins slow method of ruining his father's life.
