i mean its clear aubrey was needed to make the duke realise that he shud trust the people around him less or he could lose people precious around him and to make him closer to tia but could there hav been a better way to hav still created this effect without aubrey? if the author did make aubrey more then a simple villain would that hav made the readers pity aubrey more? would we believe aubrey shud hav deserved a better end? ig we will never kno ╮(￣▽￣)╭ im just hungry lmao
its rlly complicated, i mean treason is treason even if aubrey was just being plain stupid , theres nothing that cud be done about her death. and not only that she was given many opportunities to yk stop hating on tia. and even if she didnt commit treason she wudve prolly poisoned/ killed tia. thats just the personality that was given to her from the author. altho i do feel that out of everyone tia shud understand that people can change because tia also changed in some ways. i think the people to pity the most is the jordins family. not only do they take blame for aubreys upbringing and actions indirectly. they also lost a precious family member ;-;
