I don't think it was pity. It felt like one of those "I see what she is doing and I will play along" type of things to me. Like a well thought out plot with the ease of her excuse being a way out. Also I don't think Sein loves Aisha. I find them both interested in each other but not invested. Like they play the same game and understand that they both want better.

I think Sein has a lot of things going on and doesn’t seem interested in a relationships at this time. It is. Like you can see how much the baby wanted Yi-Rim but the baby was unsure how to act around him as well, mainly bc he didn't have a lot of contact with him after he was born.

I think that's partly why the baby became so attached to Yi-Rim after he stopped rejecting him.
