Because you are reading a free fan translation, not purchasing the manga. Yamane earns her living when people pay for her works, not when people read it here for free. So saying you are going to drop this, is immaterial because you aren't paying for sensei's work anyway. The attitude you are getting from others is because maybe some people feel that as a freeloader, your threat to stop reading it is like me threatening to stop reading the bus schedule.

But I didn't say I'm dropping it (I even wrote the very opposite in the last sentence). I just said that Fei Long was pictured as a stupid man and that it was weird for me. Aren't all these reactions about something I didn't even write? And I also never complained about free translations or anything, just about Fei Long in the latest chapter and the anatomy. I seriously don't get why people are even reacting like this, when I didn't write anything offensive.

At first I too thought it was very odd that Fei Long didn't stop to assess the situation at all before rushing in, but then I remembered back to the HK arc and Flower on the High-loft and thought 'ah, hasn't he always been hasty like that?' -

We have many examples of it, whereas Asami is someone who plans meticulously before acting, Fei Long seems a little more emotionally driven and therefore quicker to act on impulse.

But I agree that the chapter was overall slightly disappointing. Ultimately what let this chapter down for me was the dialogue. Asami and Fei have an immature dick measuring contest when they should have been having a important and tactical discussion of how to deal with the threat facing them ¬_¬

I'm trying to help you understand because you seem sincere. You started with "I hate dropping mangas" that's where people are getting that you are threatening to drop. The money issue comes up because reaction is, it's an empty threat (I hate dropping mangas) because you didn't pay for it, so if you stop reading it, no big deal.

"Sensei is getting worse with anatomy" - Yamane usually cleans things up for the tanko version (purchase the digital version of vol 8 from Sublime and compare), but while in magazine serialization and with 2 projects in serializing, sometimes things aren't perfect. In fact, it fun to see what she has changed between the magazine and volume versions.

I understand the plot holes you are seeing, but to be honest, I think that Yamane is providing fan service bring Fei Long back. The point of this chap, was to est. that odds they are up against. they are fighting a well armed small group of men. neither was expecting esp. Feilon. to come at them. looking like full metal jacket. Fei was an lone killer who worked silently. I think he used a knife? As head of Baishe, he would have others do that kind to thug work for him. He would not be getting his hands dirty any more. When he saw Asami, he told him, they have been sniffing around me. First page(not so stupid).He came there and took the chance to bring the phone bec. Takaba asked him to. He took that chance. He Fei runs ahead to take point (it is his style). He did that knowing Asami would take the back. As for Asami's reaction. Takaba affect. He is so concerned. the thought of him being harmed has rattled him. The art notice how cropped it is? it is meant to add drama like and up shot in a movie or close up bring emotion. all is just ny op.

Some things to keep in mind about the artwork is that it's normal for an artist style to evolve over time. Also, the style used can convey emotions. Here in the chat rooms we use emoticons or put extra words in asterisks *sigh* to help convey meaning to our statements. In manga the artist sometimes must use either body language, or physical appearance, to express emotion. An example, in the goodbye flashback Akihito is feeling insecure about what is happening so he has been drawn with a youthful appearance to reflect that. So it's not so much a case of bad anatomy, but a conscious choice to create feeling.

Sensei has one of the greatest art styles in my opinion, I just noticed the number of disproportions is getting bigger per chapter. As for the rest, yes, that's what I thought. The dialogue was just bad.

The point remains that you bitch and complain about something that you read for FREE and that you have no intention of buying. I don't think people have left because of relatively well measured counter arguments (as harsh as they come across) this person has every right to point out that yes we are pirating Sensei's work, and yeah to be honest maybe we should question ourselves as a matter of principle when critiquing the very work we are essentially stealing from the artist (and are getting hold of of free instead of buying therefore taking money directly from her pocket.) Including the OP we are all guilty of that, because even if we buy her work, we still use this site…
