i think this too but i also understand Neungso. yes, he knows he should talk to Haru first, but think about it. humans have been nothing but evil in Neungso’s perspective, so of course he would wanna know why Haru cherishes Habibi so much. i don’t think Haru could give an explanation that would make sense to him because it’s just one perspective. so going directly to the source and asking for Habibi’s perspective first would make it easier for Neungso to understand his feelings way better when they talk - like a confirmation of sorts, if that makes sense. i’m sure he’ll explain to Haru when they eventually do. Apparently he is not, he just went with calhan after making a bet that when they they figure out that he is not the scammer he will get 1m from calhan or smh..on the way he figured out that he could be accused for being the scammer eventhough he is not cuz kinda slow tbh then he tried to gain calhan's trust since he anyway can't runaway from him so gaining his trust and convincing him to let him go is the best decision

Jonny told him fake ass story that the guy who used to sell jonny's mother medicine kept on rising the price till Jonny had no other clue but to steal then he got caught stealing and Jonny panicked and killed the guy. He also mentioned to calhan that he misses his mom and is curious about what she is doing ,which wasn't possible cuz when calhan made background check realized his mom was dead long time ago before he left the village.
Anyway Jonny tried to make himself clean by telling calhan that he had no other way to tell him the truth since calhan already suspects him so he needed to gain his trust first to tell him the truth.
