You HAVE to bring the shaman in regardless, Heesoo's not in a right condition to be reasoned with anymore.
I'm really intrigued, and honestly I don't blame Xiao Nuo for all the shit that happened. It's his second time facing this sort of emotion after ending his last one on a terrible, terrible note. He's bound to feel confused, and act according to what his ex said because that was what he believed to be true. He thought he was cruel, which prompted him to make bad decisions. Of course, what happened to Mo is unfair, but I feel like author have placed a few moments that would make it understandable if the plot ends with the two of them being together. At this point, both options are valid, whether they got together or not. Though maybe it would seem like it happened pretty late for them to finally find out about each other like this but I think that's fine for me. I'm okay with slowburn, even annoying ones like these.
I'm such a sucker for these "x fell first but y fell harder" trope like man don't you just love seeing someone who thought they have control over everything break down and starting to be attached to this one individual that was so not supposed to be a figure to fall in love with? Yes, yes I love that shit so bad.
It's so good I read it all in one day....
Man, I wish there were more side tales that we can read about. All the other side characters have interesting stories, and honestly I wished to see how life is for our main couple as they continued to ghost hunt and deal with the supernatural beings and also their daily life as a pair....
Plus, I feel like there's a lot of things left unsaid, and there's so many untapped parts that could shed more light on the story. I don't know, author gave too much tasty crumbs of details but we can't have all of it because the story is already too detailed...
In any case!! I did not regret reading this in one day, and it totally is a good read after the heaviness that were my recent choices in BL...
Nothing beats watching a weak and feeble character grew to be someone more due to desire to progress and protect
As much as the four tops are bastards and tormenting our sole bottom... This story is really good. If you can't enjoy it, means it's not your cup of tea, even if you can handle toxicity, non-con relationships and dystopian settings. But for me... I honestly am digging with how much despair this story is giving me (masochistic much).
Like... I can see why they're all insane. Like, who wouldn't be? All of them have went through some really wild shit that there's just no way you can be normal after that. This story was never meant to be a walk through rose garden, and it's doing so well portraying such a hellish version of the espers & guides type stories. The battle scenes made me forget how to breath, the non-con scenes make my heart hurts, the cruelty of the Center and the fear of the unknown instilled by Almuten... they're all just so good like it's just meant to fuck with your mind, just like how everyone in that world was fucked.
So yeah, didn't expect myself to like this shit but here we are
It's not common for me to blush bcs of a bottom being so hot... Last time it happened is on Roses and Champagne... God Seonwooo
I'm glad Etienne admitted to his father about that. Honestly have a slight trust that the father might make up to his mistakes, but other than that I don't mind if he's still an ass.
Nonetheless, I'm happy that Etienne is slowly trying to do things more and not back down for Rishar.
Be completely exposed for all the crimes she did, humiliated as one by one of those people that groveled under her ridiculed her, having every luxury and comfort stripped off of her as she starve in the coldest, must run-down part of the prison, drove insane by how she had lost everything and ended up falling into the delusion of still having everything and enacting revenge, but it was all just her dream, banished to the woods as she died out of hunger, and even animals won't get close to her as she rot.
The end.
Not that I liked what had happened to Sovian... But it's like, none of them were good enough guys anyway so I feel like it makes sense for that kind of stuff to happen (in the scale of fictional stories anyway). Plus, I don't know why but it was intriguing how a man was made a perfect slave in just a few weeks time... Like, there's so many levels of crazy in this story..
