Is it just me or is this story very silly? Imao ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ , I can't pinpoint an exact instance just overall feels like a girly fairytale, also I don't really like female leads who claim that they like their independence and life more than love, but fall in love at the first chance they meet someone remotely rational. I mean I don't mind them falling in love, that is the expected outcome but I feel like it should happen very slowly and gradually rather going "Doki Doki" on the third meeting.

It was nice for a light read. The art was good had a dark vibe too it, that's why I was expecting it to be more darker but I'm not complaining at it fit my taste haha.
Story wise, it could've been developed more. Like MC falling in love was kind of random, I was thinking along the lines of ML seducing him with his food and looks but it barely happened enough for MC to fall in love. The villain's reasoning with his obsession with MC did not really had a reason, he just looked like a pointless psycho lol. His friend liking MC came out of no where that I was whaa?? ( ̄∇ ̄")

I don't like the fact that the story had to make Duke's lover "evil" , like that is going to serve as a reason for their break up, giving the duke a valid reason for falling for the FL. It's bad portraying of an issue. Like what if his lover was a nice person also? If after that the duke fell in love with FL wouldn't that make the duke a shallow person? They have been in a relationship for 6 years, that's a lot of time and for it to crumble because of one person, that would mean their foundation wasn't strong enough in the first place.
Being aloof and innocent can be seen as a quirk but that's just so one dimensional, it's not realistic ( ̄∇ ̄")

when i hear of stories like this, i walways want the ml to be left by both fl....cause obviously he is not really ready and deserving of this kind of devotion and absolution of his wrongdoings....both girls seem to be good girls that are lovable and he is just a guy that has status and money and good looks and thus thinks highly of himself and his flaws seem to be glossed over by those material shallow facts....i met one of my best friends through a guy like this....he had no high class position, but his looks were worth a million and he was not dumb, but more and more we. both on our own discovered that he was a very troubled selfish person that seemed to not realise that he was misogynist to an extend....so we naturally grew apart from him and met each other in the end...cause we both live in a world where women are not defined by their marriage partner anymoren(germany/europe)....

I'm sorry you and your friend had to go through such a bad experience and I'm glad you two found each other.
Best wishes to you both.
Regarding the story, I believe there would be flaws even the purist of people, the problem trying to say is not that the duke is undeserving or his bad points are being covered by his wealth or appearance, I was talking how there is a clear distinction between both female leads. On one end good points are shown of FL and on another end bad characteristics are being shown of the other girl. It's unfair that the other girl does not seem to be on the same playing field even though the duke is in love with such a person.

Arrgh honestly I don't even know what point am I trying to make, I just feel sad that for the sake of Duke's perfect love, that girl is gonna serve a perfect reason to move the plot instead of the duke realizing that maybe he wasn't in love with her on his own accord.

Oh, it is alright. Nothing major happened, as I knew all along that he was not fully honest. Grateful for my intelligence and perception, as I was not really thrown off and that is also why I played the part so well. It was more my ego that was hurt during all that stuff. For her it was her heart, as he was her first in many things. Anyway, yes. As i say, this guy was not bad. So is no one truly just bad, but their actions are usually what determines the way the world sees a person. Even if internally they have other intentions. And I also heard a lot of weird stuff about his girlfriend from him and who knows what she heard about me. When we met and I got to know her, I was so annoyed by how I was swayed to interpret her actions so weirdly, as she was an actually very intelligent, but weirdly naive girl and did not have bad intentions ever, but was just an airhead really. I also hate to ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS see a villainess "rival"....like why? Why are they always weird, creepy, evli or disgusting women with bad character. Why can it not be just a normal developed character....so annoying this overused and stretched concept in mangas....not only shoujo but also ofteh shounen ai or yaoi

(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ That's good buddy that you were able to identify the red flags and also help a fellow person in the process. Your poor friend, it must have been hard for her. I agree that actions show more no matter what their intentions are, there would be a limit to how much a person can lenient towards hurtful actions, it eventually takes a toll mentally.
Have you heard the phrase, if you're fooled once, it's their fault, if you're fooled twice, it's their fault, if you're fooled thrice, its your fault. Pretty weird to say in today's world, but it's a tough world for everyone *sigh* good thing is one can learn and improve.
Also yes :( good developed characters are hard to come by, they are also hard to accept as they are so close to real life, usually people want to escape that, maybe that's one of the reasons why these generic stories are more popular.

Does anyone feel like some issues were left unresolved??? Like with daisy and new bullying maids.
I don't know usually when a story starts a conflict it's for the purpose for coming to a point, or a conclusion, so I curious if the purpose is just that people go through these issues and in the end they are left unfinished or is it a flaw of the story ??? ( ̄へ ̄)

No no, daisy was the maid that liked Ian when he was pretending to be a servant, the one who got killed later on.
But I also mentioned the one you're talking about.
what I meant to say was, what was the purpose of creating a conflict if it was gonna be left without anyone learning anything from it ( ̄∇ ̄")
I actually don't know what I'm feeling about this story lol,
Overall the mysteries have kept me reeled in other vise I feel the interactions between the characters are repetitive or maybe it's cause I'm overdosing on mangas these days so it's clouding my mind.
I went ahead and read some spoilers lol so I may not be coming back to this.
Up until this point the story is good, I was concerned about the tragedy tag and there seems to be darker vibes that the author covers up with the bubbly atmosphere of mc, kind of reminds me of the anime, gakkou gurashi's main character (though not that much), even though the prince is very spoiled and self-centered I hope MC can fix him too, I feel kinda bad seeing how everyone just hates him now, he needs redemption.
